Intellitrain is grateful to the following distinguished individuals who have kindly agreed to serve on its Advisory Panel:

Dr Melanie-Billings Yun (PhD, Harvard, MSc London School of Economics)

Dr Melanie Billings-Yun is founder and senior partner at Global Resolutions, Singapore’s first negotiation consulting firm, providing negotiation strategies, assistance and training as well as mediation and conflict resolution services to business, government and individual clients in the Asia-Pacific region. Formerly a lecturer and research director at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government, Dr Billings-Yun has consulted on numerous multimillion dollar joint ventures between Asian and Western companies. Dr Billings-Yun graduated first in her class (summa cum laude) from Portland State University in 1976. She earned her masters degree from the London School of Economics. In 1982 she received a Ph.D. from Harvard University in history and international conflict resolution. While earning her doctorate, she directed two major research projects at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government and Institute of Politics. Upon graduation, Dr Billings-Yun was given a lectureship at the Kennedy School. Her dissertation, Decision Against War, published by Columbia University Press, remains in print today.

Dr Billings-Yun sits on the executive Council of the Women’s Business Connection in Singapore, is a project leader of the Asia Women’s Business Research Institute initiative, and is a mentor in the Hewlett-Packard “High-Potential Women Mentoring Program.” She is a visiting professor at the Sasin Graduate School of Business Administration in Bangkok, Ewha Graduate School of International Studies in Seoul, East China University of Science and Technology in Shanghai and Portland State University in her home town in Oregon. She is on the governing committee of the Timor-Leste Foundation and is a Director of Save the Planet Investments.

Dr Angelo Vernados (SJD, M. Juris, MBA, B. Econ – Bachelor of Economics)

Dr Venardos is a senior banker with many years of experience in corporate, offshore and private banking. He holds degrees in Economics and Marketing, an MBA from the University of Queensland, a Master of Jurisprudence (Corporate & Commercial Law) and a Doctor of Legal Science from Bond University, School of Law.

His experience has included, a dot-com start-up, corporate & commercial banking, property marketing and sales, and more recently, offshore cross-border structuring in Singapore.

He is a member of the Singapore Institute of Directors, Singapore Institute of International Affairs and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, the Australian. Institute of Company Directors.

Dr Venardos is the author of “Islamic Banking & Finance in South East Asia – Its Development and Future”.

He is currently founder of the Heritage Trust Group – Singapore, a provider of offshore companies, nominee and trust services to the legal, accounting and private banking sectors throughout South East Asia and the Middle East.
