The Secret to Strong Leadership is Understanding Why the King is
the Weakest Chess Piece

willingness to learn, sometimes hard, lessons from our failures.
I recently read a most enlightening article by a now-successful
entrepreneur who, after facing 2 business failures and was about to
embark on his third venture, recounted his mentor’s simple but
invaluable advice - that the reason for his continued failure was
his insistence in thinking he was smart. ...

Networking through Strategic Alliances
Networkers know that you always get back more from your network then
you have to give to it. However, that should not stop you from thinking
about new ways you can help the people in your network. Your network is
full of people who would like to partner with you, though neither of you

What’s the Buzz?
Effective Compliance Means Business
A "Managed by Intellitrain" Event
11 April 2006 |
According to a 2005 survey by LAWLEX and Operational Risk magazine,
financial services firms on a global scale are looking “beyond the
costs” and regard an effective operational risk programme as a worthy
investment for improved business benefits. Despite increasing
recognition of these benefits of compliance, 60% of respondents surveyed
rated the creation of a compliance culture as the most difficult
obstacle in the next 18 months. This
comprehensive change and risk management Workshop is taught by
compliance specialists from Australia and Singapore using lecturettes on
the substantive aspects and group discussions, case studies dramas
and/or role-plays, to reinforce learning and the practical
implementation of issues discussed. Enjoy a
complimentary online assessment of their “Compliance IQ” and a
customized programme addressing priority issues identified in the
pre-course questionnaire they complete. Limited places.
